Doon 1-8
Congratulations to the boys of 4th, 5th and 6th class who subjected us to a nail biting finish to win the Limerick Leader cup in UL last Monday lunchtime. After a difficult first half we trailed Doon by 1-5 to 3pts and had it all to do in the second half. With David Woulfe a powerhouse in midfield, Tom Savage was sprung from the bench to rattle in a great goal to put us a point up. Doon equalised from a free to leave it all square but Dylan finished with a super strike to the back of the net to win the cup with literally the last puck of the game. Great stuff lads and thank you to the teachers from Scoil Mocheallóg Mike Barron, John Ahern, John English and Mike O’Connor for training the team.
