Billy Naughton R.I.P.

It was with sadness, this week, that we heard of the death of Billy Naughton – late of Emmett Street, Kilmallock.

Billy can be seen, standing in the back row,  in the photograph above from the 1950 Minor Hurling team

Billy played for Kilmallock GAA club at underage level and at Junior level before he emigrated in the early 1950s.

Billy spent most of his adult life in the USA but always kept in touch with home and was a loyal supporter of  Kilmallock hurling to the very end.

Billy Naughton passed away in Boynton Beach, Florida on the 13th April last. The Naughton family have always been, and continue to be, great supporters of Kilmallock GAA club and at this sad time we extend our support and sympathies to Billy’s family, the extended Naughton family and Billy’s many friends.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

  1. Who was the W.Hayes front row for Kilmallock Minor’s 1950 team? Where was he living at the time?
