Baalbec’ s Finest by Tony Keane

The following tribute was sent to us by Tony Keane from Kilmallock – a true and passionate supporter of the ‘boys in green’. Thanks Tony.

Baalbec’s Finest

That magical day, in the middle of March,
Our boys are in Croker, in search of a medal,
The marching bands play, and the masses seem parched,
This one is different, Its gonna be special

When the morn arrives, of this hurling display
We are hoping Ballyhale, are feeling the heat
Excitement and nerves, are the order of the day
Lets dish out those cats, that taste of defeat

With buses parked up, and flags held up high
Our destiny is close, we hope victory is nigh
The preparation is over, the clock strikes two
Amhran na bhFiann is sung aloud, Baalbec Abu
