Kilmallock 1-26 Murroe/Boher 1-9
We lined out with a number of enforced changes from the advertised lineout – Philip O’ Loughlin came in at full-back with his brother Mark moving to corner-back, Robert Egan came in at half-back and Derek O’Mahony started at top-of-the-left. But despite these changes the team gave a solid, confident display and we were on top in every area of the field. The half-time score was 0-13 to 0-5 in our favour and from early in the half the outcome was never in doubt, in fact the Murroe/Boher goal came in the dying minutes of the game.
