Kilmallock 4-18 Granagh/Ballingarry 3-6

Playing with an almost full-strength team for the first time this year and in front of a sizeable home crowd Kilmallock gave a strong first half display that had this contest decided even before half-time. On top in all positions we gave a performance that must have pleased all onlookers supporting the green and white.

We lead by 4-10 to 1-3 at half-time with well-worked goals from Graeme Mulcahy, Jake Mulcahy and a brace from Shane O’Donnell. In the second half, with the result never in doubt we took the foot off the gas and to their credit Granagh/Ballingarry hurled until the end and managed to raise the green flag twice late in the game.
